Making IU a Better Place for All of Us

The vision and the dream of the QPC is to create a space where people can thrive with safety and respect. Supporting queer students, faculty, and staff at IU means more than strong emotional support. Sometimes, financial support can open doors to opportunities that might otherwise never come to light.

Through our grants program, the Queer Philanthropy Circle is looking to invest in projects and initiatives that support LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff on any campus. In our first two years of existence, we have committed $234,000 in grants for projects at IU Bloomington, IU Kokomo, IU School of Medicine, and university-wide.

Apply for a Queer Philanthropy Circle Grant

We invite you to share your ideas with us by submitting a QPC grant application. Your application should specifically focus on the ways in which the LGBTQ+ community at IU will be supported by your project. We are looking for proposals that aim to make IU a more equitable, welcoming, and accessible university for our queer community.

Any Indiana University student, faculty, staff, or unit with a vision and capacity to manage grant money are encouraged to apply.

Application Timeline

Applications for the 2025-2026 grant cycle are available between November 1, 2024, and February 2, 2025.

In addition to applying for a Queer Philanthropy Circle grant, your project is welcome to apply for funds from the Black Philanthropy Circle and/or the Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council. The single application is inclusive of all three.
