The Bruce Shuck Family Native American Scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate financial need, with preference to students of Native American descent.
Gifts to this account support scholarships for sophomore, junior, or senior students who are involved in any program administered by the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to first-generation students.
This scholarship was established by Hannah's friends with the blessing of her 
family in order to continue to keep Hannah's legacy alive at Indiana University. Hannah was a college senior two weeks away from graduating when her life was tragically taken. Hannah received her degree posthumously in Psychology and had planned to go to graduate school to pursue a career in counseling for the LGTBQ+ community. Hannah was a fierce ally of the LGBTQ+ community and volunteered at the LGBTQ+ Center during her time at IU. Funds from this account will be used to support scholarships for undergraduate or graduate students who are pursuing a degree in Counseling, Sexual Health, Psychology or a field dedicated to helping others and represent LGBTQ+ interests through involvement on the Bloomington Campus.
Charles and Wilma Harry both received their undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University. Charles received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1956 and his Master of Science degree in Education in 1957, while Wilma received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science in 1956 and her Master of Arts in Social Science degree in 1960.
A scholarship account has been established in honor of Wilma A. and Charles E. Harry by their daughters, Jill Harry Rahman and Janet Harry. The Wilma A. and Charles E. Harry Family Scholarship will support a minimum two annual scholarships for students in the Hudson & Holland Scholars Program, with a preference for African American students pursuing degrees in the School of Education or the School of Social Work.
